I am grateful. Grateful to all those who survived this virus and to all those who will survive it. Through their achieved immunity they are collectively increasing the protection of our communities, especially the most vulnerable of us. Grateful for each and every one of you. I know we each have a role to play, even if the meaning of it currently escapes us. I will do mine and thank you for doing yours. I trust it is essential and necessary and I refrain from judging it.

I am grateful.

Grateful to all those who survived this virus and to all those who will survive it. Through their achieved immunity they are collectively increasing the protection of our communities, especially the most vulnerable of us.

Grateful to those who still manage to stay healthy and decrease the spread of this global wave so that hospitals can find ways to help the ones in need.

Grateful to those who died. To you goes my deepest gratitude. Your sacrifice is bringing the world together in unprecedented ways. I honor your suffering and your families’ suffering and I’ll do whatever is possible for me to enhance the love, the peace, the balance and the connection to life in my own community.

Grateful to those who take risks to help others through these challenging times, although nobody assigned you that responsibility. Thanks to you I can stay home and keep my child safe and feel a bit better about it.

Grateful to the institutions who are showing their cracks. Structures are meant to be improved all the time. When this is all over, we’ll know what needs correcting, we’ll have an idea of what we need to rebuild.

Grateful to those whose professions are to be of service, medical staff, retirement communities’ staff, the army, couriers, mailmen, spiritual teachers etc. I know you are sacrificing a lot. I pray you’ll gain at least as much through this life changing experience and that you’ll stay well.

Grateful to be born in times when there is so much that science can do to help the ones in need and grateful to all our means to cope with this pandemic.

Grateful for our food, grateful for our home, grateful for the sunny days when my family and I get to do short walks around the neighbourhood, boost our immune systems and help our minds stay positive.

Grateful for each and every one of you. I know we each have a role to play, even if the meaning of it currently escapes us. I am doing mine and thank you for doing yours. I trust it is essential and necessary and I refrain from judging it.

We are all in this together!
